The coaches have spoken and two Kentucky Wildcats are expected to be among the best in the SEC this season. Seniors Oscar Tshiebwe and Sahvir Wheeler were voted Preseason First Team All-SEC by the league’s 14 coaches. They are Kentucky’s only representatives on the two teams, which have a minimum of eight players each.
By now, you’re familiar with Oscar’s accolades. The reigning unanimous National Player of the Year led the country in rebounding with 15.1 boards to go along with a team-high 17.4 points last season. Oscar was also voted First Team All-American, First Team All-SEC, and was a Naismith Defensive Player of the Year finalist.
