On Friday night, while preparing to accept his 2022 Wooden Award recognition out in Los Angeles, Kentucky’s consensus National Player of the Year, Oscar Tshiebwe, dropped a new line of merchandise through Kentucky Branded. Big O is selling sweatshirts, t-shirts, sweatpants, and mugs with his name and face on them.
Much has been made since the end of the season regarding Tshiebwe’s decision to either return to UK for another season or make the leap to the NBA. The feeling has been that if Tshiebwe can figure out how to legally take home his keep of money made from name, image, and likeness (NIL), he’d be more inclined to come back for a senior season in Lexington.
