The University of Kentucky will retire a jersey in honor of former head coach Orlando “Tubby” Smith on December 31 at Rupp Arena.
Smith led the Wildcats to the 1998 national championship.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Orlando “Tubby” Smith, who coached the University of Kentucky men’s basketball program to the 1998 national championship and several Southeastern Conference titles, will have a jersey retired in his honor, Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart announced Tuesday.
