News broke Monday that offensive line coach Eric Wolford was leaving Kentucky for Alabama after just one season in Lexington.
While there’s no shame in changing jobs, especially when Alabama is involved, the details of Wolford’s departure have been sketchy at best.
According to Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio, Wolford was on a recruiting trip for Kentucky, then interviewed for the Alabama job and accepted it, then started recruiting the same player to Alabama. He didn’t return to Lexington or even say goodbye to his players.
On Friday of last week, Wolford was recruiting a late OL target for Kentucky and left to interview at Alabama
On Saturday he took the job, never came back to Lexington to tell the team bye and was recruiting the same kid for Alabama
A pretty amazingly quick turnaround

Crazy.
