NCAA approves immediate transfer rule for 2020-21 season

The NCAA’s one-time immediate transfer rule has passed for the 2020-21 season, and it’s expected to be a permanent change.

According to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman, the Division I Council has “passed the proposal in which all transfers are now eligible to play this season.”

While the Kentucky men’s basketball team already got its two transfers eligible in Olivier Sarr and Jacob Toppin, this news is massive for the women’s basketball team, as former five-star recruit and Tennessee transfer Jazmine Massengill is now immediately eligible.
