There’s a rising star on the gridiron that calls Western Kentucky home. Rising junior quarterback Gavin Wimsatt is building an arsenal of scholarship offers. Last week the University of Kentucky was one of the first to throw their hat in the ring.
A 2022 prospect from Owensboro High School, Wimsatt has fast feet to accompany his big arm. Last season he recorded 2,792 passing yards and 31 touchdowns, along with 564 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. Wimsatt led the Red Devils to a 12-2 record in 2019. They were undefeated against opponents from Kentucky, winning by an average of 36.
