A team from Kentucky is the first group to punch their ticket to the Big Dance – and it’s not the Wildcats. The Murray State Racers just claimed a 77-65 victory over Belmont to bring home the OVC Championship title and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Superstar sophomore guard Ja Morant finished with an incredible 36 points on 13-25 shooting (52 percent) and went and 1-4 from deep. He added seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal. Plus, he was a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line. He also gave up seven turnovers, but c’mon – the dude had 36 points and played all 40 minutes.
