Things are getting chippy in Greenville, SC.
During first-round action of the 2023 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament between 14-seed Kentucky and 11-seed Florida, four Kentucky players and four Florida players were ejected following a minor scuffle that took place during the middle of the second quarter. Wildcats Saniah Tyler, Eniya Russell, Cassidy Rowe, and Zennia Thomas were all ejected for leaving the bench area while the incident played out near the Kentucky bench. For Florida, Taliyah Wyche, Tatyana Wyche, Ra Shaya Kyle, and Faith Dut were also ejected for their roles.
Officials paused the game for 22 minutes to review what happened.
