Does an algorithm know which school a top high school recruit is going to pick before it even happens?

Well, maybe so.

Interesting story out of Iowa from Mark Emmert of the Des Moines Register and Iowa City Press-Citizen about Kristina Gavin Bigsby, a 31-year-old doctoral student at the University of Iowa who has developed an analytics model that reportedly has a 70-percent accuracy rate in pinpointing where a college football prospect is headed.
