A wild start to NBA free agency has captured attention around the league, but let's not forget that a number of former Louisville and Kentucky stars are playing in the NBA Summer League this month.
Players ranging from third-year NBA guys to recent draft selections to undrafted free agents are looking to make an impression — and, ultimately, secure a spot on an NBA roster this fall.
Summer league kicked off this week with two mini sessions through Wednesday. Games in Salt Lake City feature the San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz. Games in Sacramento feature the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings.
