SEC Network analyst Dane Bradshaw, who once played for Bruce Pearl at Tennessee, received a text message last week as Pearl's Auburn team was preparing to play North Carolina in the Sweet 16.
Pearl had just finished watching Tennessee's 101-87 loss at North Carolina.
The date of that game: Nov. 24, 2006.
"We lost, but we put 50 on them in the second half," Pearl texted optimistically.
"So he’s watching a game from 2006," Bradshaw said.
