If you didn’t have a dog in Sunday night’s Super Bowl, hopefully you at least rooted for former Kentucky Wildcat Mike Edwards to earn his first super bowl ring. Edwards and the rest of Tampa Bay’s defense faced their largest challenge of the year against reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes. Yet it ended up being their best performance of the year.
Tampa worked Kansas City’s tackles in the trenches and played unbelievable coverage downfield/across the middle to keep Mahomes & Co. off-beat for the entire game, limiting them to just nine points and two interceptions.
