Five new school records. Twelve podium finishes. A total of 1,124 points (most ever in program history).
All that and their first SEC Championship is what the Kentucky Women’s Swim & Dive team accomplished this weekend. While stars Riley Gaines and Lauren Poole shined in the spotlight, the entire team thrived over the weekend with a total of 39 personal bests throughout the meet.
Winning the SEC Championship is only achievable through a team effort and that’s what Kentucky brought to the table this weekend.
Head coach Lars Jorgensen gave credit not just to his team but the recent alumni and staff who put the program on track to secure their first SEC Championship.
