According to multiple reports, the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball program has reached out to Reed Sheppard.
As you may know, Reed is the son of former Kentucky Wildcats star and national champion Jeff Sheppard. Jeff played at Kentucky from 1993-1998 and helped hang two national championship banners in Rupp Arena (1996 & 1998).
While Jeff went undrafted, he was eventually signed by the Atlanta Hawks in 1998, played overseas for two years, and is now watching his son become a high-major prospect.
Jeff Sheppard says his son Reed's recruitment is currently going through his high school coach at North Laurel but says that Kentucky has reached out.
