The Rupp Arena renovation crashed and burned last year, but the question of where Kentucky will play basketball longterm still remains. Earlier this summer, small updates were announced, such as replacing Big Bertha with a center-hung scoreboard, but the future of the building is still uncertain.
Yesterday, Mitch Barnhart touched on the subject when speaking to the Lexington Rotary Club. From LEX18:
“I think we’ve got to get to a spot where we know what the definition of that looks like going forward. And we’ve got to do it soon. I think it’s caused enough angst among–it’s too much conversation,” said Barnhart.
