Another SEC star is swapping schools. Missouri guard Xavier Pinson just announced he is transferring to LSU. The 6’2″ junior was Missouri’s second leading scorer last season, averaging 13.5 points on 42.6% shooting and 33.6% from three to go with 2.9 assists and 2.7 rebounds per contest.
Kentucky was one of several schools that reached out to Pinson when he entered the transfer portal on March 23; however, less than a week later, the Cats accepted a commitment from Davidson guard Kellan Grady. Meanwhile, LSU star guard Javonte Smart announced three days ago he’s entering the NBA Draft and will hire an agent, leaving a big opening in the Tigers’ backcourt.
