If the first game of the day is any indication, we’re in for a very exciting afternoon of hoops. No. 9 seed Mississippi State just beat No. 8 seed Florida 69-68 in overtime to advance to the quarterfinals. The Bulldogs will play No. 1 seed Alabama tomorrow at 12 p.m. CT/1 p.m. ET.
At first, this one looked to be a snoozer. Mississippi State led by as many as 14 in the first half and ten at halftime, but Florida fought its way back into it, taking the lead at the 14:31 mark of the second half.
