Max Duffy is officially the best punter in college football. The voters for the Ray Guy Award said so.
Duffy was named the recipient of the Ray Guy Award, given annually to the nation’s premier punter, at Thursday night’s Home Depot College Football Awards show. A native of Australia, Duffy came to Kentucky as the No. 1 punting prospect in the class of 2018 by Ray Guy’s ProKicker.com.
In this 2019 season, his junior year, Duffy leads the nation in punting at 48.6 yards per punt, while only nine of his 47 punts have been returned and 24 of the 47 dropped inside the 20-yard line.
