Austin, Texas played host to a new collegiate record, as Masai Russell broke the 100-meter hurdles record at the Texas Relays with an impressive time of 12.36 (2.0) seconds, marking the second time she has set a collegiate record.
UK had team success placing second in the 4×100 meter relay behind strong performances from Russell, Anthaya Charlton, Victoria Perrow, and Karimah Davis clocking in at 42.81 seconds, fifth all time in UK history.
UK fell just short of a podium finish, as Dajour Miles, Shadajah Ballard, Iantha Wright, and Reynei Wallace placed fourth in the women’s 4×200 meter relay with a time of 1:34.
