Shane Beamer’s culture can’t keep anyone that’s any good around in Columbia. The sunglass-toting Mayo King lost his maligned offensive coordinator and now his top skill players don’t want to hang around any longer. Monday afternoon RB Marshawn Lloyd became the latest South Carolina Gamecock to enter the transfer portal.
First reported by On3’s Matt Zenitz, Lloyd was South Carolina’s leading rusher in 2022. Despite missing three games to injury, he tallied 573 yards and nine touchdowns on 111 carries. Lloyd only had one performance better than his 110-yard game against Kentucky in October.
