LEXINGTON — Mark Stoops has turned to a familiar face to fill the final full-time assistant coach role on his staff.
Frank Buffano, who served as the Wildcats' director of football operations the last seven years, will serve as the team's safeties coach in 2020. Buffano had moved into that job on a temporary basis during spring practice as Stoops worked to fill the position vacated when former assistant Dean Hood was hired as Murray State's head coach in December.
