Kentucky’s head football coach is asking the Big Blue Nation to keep Chris Oats in their thoughts and prayers.
Saturday afternoon Mark Stoops released the following statement on Twitter.
Oats was one of the Wildcats’ highest-ranked recruits in the 2018 class, ranked as one of the 25 best linebackers in America. A product of Cincinnati’s Winton Woods High School, as a true freshman he played in all 13 games. In two seasons he’s recorded 65 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and a pass deflection.
Projected to be one of the Wildcats’ top defenders in 2020, Jamin Davis and DeAndre Square will be called upon if Oats is unable to play.
