LEXINGTON — Mark Stoops elevated Kentucky football recruiting to newfound heights quickly after taking over the program in 2012. But even when compared to his previous recruiting success, Tuesday’s commitment from five-star Michigan prep lineman Justin Rogers was special.

Never before in the recruiting rankings era had Kentucky received a commitment from a five-star prospect from outside the Bluegrass State. As the No.10-ranked recruit in the 2020 class according to Rivals.com, Rogers is the highest-ranked recruit to commit to Kentucky since the website started rating recruits in 2002.
