Makayla Epps thrilled to score her first points in WNBA

Makayla Epps notched her first points as a professional athlete Saturday in the final seconds of the Chicago Sky’s 100-76 win over the Minnesota Lynx.

The former Kentucky guard, who was drafted by the Sky (4-12) in the 2017 WNBA draft, made a layup with 15 seconds to go, solidifying the team’s upset win over the Lynx (13-2).

The Lynx roster includes Maya Moore, the former University of Connecticut star and 2011 WNBA draft’s No. 1 pick.

Epps took to Twitter to share her excitement.

The Lebanon, Kentucky, native was one of two Wildcats to enter the draft in April, alongside Evelyn Akhator.
