Lynn Bowden can now add record holder to his ever-expanding resume. Bowden rushed 11 times for 129 yards and two touchdowns today vs. UT Martin, his fifth 100-yard rushing game as quarterback, which breaks Mike Fanuzzi’s 45-year old record for the most 100-yard rushing games by a QB in school history.
In fact, Bowden would have six 100-yard rushing games this season, but came up one yard short vs. Georgia, rushing for 99 yards on 17 carries. So far this season, he has 951 rushing yards, meaning he’ll need 49 in next week’s game vs. Louisville to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark.
