I feel like if I’ve learned anything about Louie Dampier the past few weeks, it’s that he doesn’t like to speak in public, especially about his accomplishments. Yet, he’s quietly stolen the show at the Hall of Fame festivities, bringing the laughs at the beginning of his speech tonight.
Dampier mentioned how one of the Hall of Fame broadcast producers Fran told him to keep his speech under the five-minute limit several times, and if he went over, she’d be fired. Louie joked that based on the length of all the inductee’s speeches before his, she must be already be out of a job.
