While the rest of the sports world has come to a screeching halt due to the COVID-19 outbreak, one major event is moving forward as scheduled.
According to an official release from Basketball Hall of Fame President & CEO John Doleva, the London Showcase at The O2 in December 2020 is still expected to be played on time.
In the inaugural event, the Kentucky Wildcats are scheduled to take on the Michigan Wolverines in a doubleheader that will also feature Marist vs. UMBC.
“With many athletic events being postponed and canceled due to COVID-19, the Basketball Hall of Fame remains diligent in monitoring the situation and making decisions in the best interest of public health,” the release states.
