LEXINGTON, Ky. – Mark Stoops appears to have found his quarterback of the future.

Four-star Lexington Catholic quarterback Beau Allen committed to Kentucky during a ceremony at his high school Monday afternoon. Allen, the son of former Kentucky quarterback Bill Allen, has long been the Wildcats’ top target in the 2020 class and picked his hometown school over Washington State, Duke and West Virginia.

By the time Allen arrives on campus at UK, current Wildcats starting quarterback Terry Wilson would have just one season of eligibility remaining, allowing Allen a redshirt season in 2020 before as many as four years as the Kentucky starter if he wins the job.
