With the state watching, Ben Johnson and the Knights put the hammer down on North Laurel, winning 83-51 at home. Johnson, a Bellarmine commit and one of the favorites to win Mr. Basketball finished with 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. He was 7-for-13 from 3-point range. Ryan Russell chipped in 15 points.
What was supposed to be a heavyweight prize fight quickly turned in to a blowout. Though the Knights only led 42-27 at halftime, it was seemed the Knights easily had the game where they wanted it.
