League coaches pick Kentucky basketball's Immanuel Quickley for SEC Player of the Year

LEXINGTON — Kentucky basketball sophomore guard Immanuel Quickley has been named Southeastern Conference Player of the Year by the league coaches.

Quickley averaged 18.4 points per game while shooting 47.8% (44 for 92) from 3-point range and 92% from the free throw line in SEC games for the conference champion Wildcats. He was joined on the All-SEC first-team by UK junior forward Nick Richards.

UK coach John Calipari was named SEC Coach of the Year for the fourth time.
