Kentucky Wildcats freshman Lance Ware has announced via Instagram that he will return for a sophomore season in Lexington.
“Yes I’m coming back next year,” Ware wrote.
As probably the least surprising decision to come this offseason, Ware’s return could also be one of the more promising transactions. Kentucky will very likely lose Isaiah Jackson and Olivier Sarr this offseason, while it’s unclear what Keion Brooks will do, and Cam’Ron Fletcher has already left the program.
Having a big man with experience is always a luxury to have in college basketball, even if Ware’s impact on the 2020-2021 season wasn’t large.
