La Familia had to survive a frantic Elan ending, but the Kentucky alumni team found a way survive and advance with an 80-76 win over War Ready (Auburn).
War Ready had several chances to hit a game-winning three-pointer, but couldn’t connect. In the end, La Familia turned up the defense forcing two turnovers on War Ready’s last two possessions. After the second turnover, Archie Goodwin drove the length of the court and nailed the Elam ender.
Goodwin led the way with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists.
