Mark Stoops is taking some heat for his team’s behavior and performance vs. Louisville, but no one has a more thorough takedown of Stoops’ shortcomings than Kyle Tucker of SEC Country. Tucker called Stoops out for continuing to play Jordan Jones after his temper tantrum today, and his own temper in the face of criticism, a trait Tucker has encountered personally.
That starts at the top. I’ve watched Stoops lose his cool — and then his mind — too many times to count on game days. All it takes is one call he doesn’t like, and two, three, four plays might go by before Stoops stops seeing red and realizes the game is still in progress.
