KSR founder Matt Jones tweeted just after 11 a.m. ET on Thursday that he received a text, saying “Craig Stammen is the new Padres manager”. That report was later confirmed by ESPN’s Jeff Passan, among several other reporters. The San Diego Padres later announced the hire.
“Random person just texted me ‘Craig Stammen is the new Padres manager’,” Jones wrote on X. “So I am going to break that even though I don’t know who that is.
