Over the weekend, the Warren Central Dragons defeated the George Rogers Clark Cardinals 64-60 in the finals of the 2023 UK Healthcare Boys’ Sweet 16 to claim their second basketball championship in school history. The Dragons and Cardinals were the two highest-ranked teams in the preseason, with Warren Central staying at No. 1 all season long aside from a brief period in January. George Rogers Clark defeated Warren Central in the 2022 state championship game.
