Kentucky has won and it feels so good, Mark Pope leading the Wildcats to a 12-point win over Rick Pitino and the St. John’s Red Storm — student becoming the master in Catlanta. It wasn’t the prettiest thing in the world, particularly in the first half, but Jaland Lowe and Jayden Quaintance helped flip the momentum in the second to put UK ahead and never looked back.
Things looked bleak when Lowe reinjured his shoulder after playing just seven seconds in the first and Quaintance only played four minutes, allowing the Johnnies to take a double-digit lead.
