Lexington Catholic stormed out of the gate playing like they had something to prove in their annual Traditional Bank Bluegrass Bowl. Senior QB Kirk Fagot started the game in full control of the offense connecting on two slant passes to Senior Receiver Sam Hodges and Sophomore Receiver Nathan Schnurr for touchdowns to open the game. St. X struggled to get anything going offensively early, failing to score until the 6 min mark in the second quarter.
For a defense that lost two of their starters the Knights did not play like it in the first half, Corner back Jake Topley made a great break on an out route to intercept Jack Albers pass and return it for a 91 yard touchdown.
