For the second consecutive season, the Kroger KSR Hometown Classic will feature Louisville Shawnee vs. Jackson County. This heartwarming gathering of community encompasses both competition and unity.
One hundred forty-three miles separate Louisville Shawnee and Jackson County. A high school football game brings the two communities together for a celebration of solidarity. Last year’s inaugural Hometown Classic was won by Shawnee 40-0 in Louisville.
Shawnee senior Sircory Brookins said after the contest, “When they come all the way out here, I’ve never seen another team that has done that. They have my appreciation and my thanks.
