Kentucky’s Coaches and Sawyer Smith are no Strangers to an Early-Season Quarterback Injury

Terry Wilson’s season ended in the second game of the 2019 season. The quarterback suffered a torn patellar tendon against Eastern Michigan. Initially, the team took a punch to the gut. While they feel for Wilson, it’s time to move onto the next man, something the next man experienced last year.

Mark Stoops has always used the ‘next man up’ mantra but, “The quarterback position, it’s obviously a little bit different,” he said at Monday’s press conference.
