Get ready for five more years of beating Louisville. According to FB Schedules, the battle for the Governor’s Cup has been extended through the 2027 season. It will remain the final game of the regular season.
The series was set to expire after 2022, but FB Schedules obtained a copy of the contract extension through a UofL open records request. After last year’s 56-10 rout in Louisville, Kentucky leads the series 16-15. Here’s the schedule for the next nine seasons:
- Nov. 30, 2019 – Lexington, Ky.
- Nov. 28, 2020 – Louisville, Ky.
