In what is arguably among the highest profile recruits in the history of any UK sport not named basketball, 17-year-old olympic sensation Sydney McLaughlin is reportedly headed to Lexington to run for Kentucky. The New Jersey native is choosing Kentucky over the University of Southern California (USC), the only other school where she made an official visit.
“That’s just where I felt more comfortable,” McLaughlin told NJ.com. “USC and Kentucky are both great schools, but for me and what I want to do I just felt that Kentucky was a better fit. I connected more with the people there.
