Kentucky women’s tennis finishes 0-2 during weekend in New York

Kentucky women’s tennis traveled to New York over the weekend to take on Columbia and Princeton, falling to both opponents 4-2, 4-3.

On Friday, Feb. 2, at Columbia, Kentucky gave up the doubles point after Ellie Eades and Lidia Gonzalez were the only pair to put up a win on their court.

Elizabeth Stevens and Eades lost both their respective singles matches on courts one and two for the weekend.

Zoe Hammond continued her dominant season in singles play by finishing first once again against Columbia, defeating her opponent 6-4, 6-0 in straight sets.

Ellie Myers also won her match in straight sets 6-2, 7-5 on court six, but the Cats ultimately took the 4-2 loss after Stevens fell on court one.
