Kentucky womens golf ties for 11th in SEC Championship
Highlighted by Laney Fryes performance who finished in sixth place, the Wildcats shot 41 over par 217 to end in 11th place to miss the cut.
Day one of the women’s golf 2023 SEC championship saw Kentucky sitting tied for seventh place at six over par, led by graduate transfer Ivy Shepard.
Playing at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama, Shepard shot an impressive three under par 69 to finish the day.
After the front nine Shepard was even par, starting with a bogey on hole one but recovered on five with her first birdie of the day.
