Did you know next Wednesday is National Signing Day? Probably not. Prior to the creation of the Early Signing Period, the first Wednesday of February was a holiday of sorts. Its impact has been greatly diminished by the new college football calendar, but the Cats could still sign a few prospects, including Noah Matthews.
A three-star defensive lineman from Delaware, Matthews is expected to be in Lexington this weekend for an official visit. In addition to Kentucky, Matthews is also being pursued by former UK assistant Andy Buh at Illinois. A late riser in the recruiting ranks, the 6-foot-5, 250 pound defensive lineman was previously committed to Weber State.
