Good morning, ladies and gentlemen of the Big Blue Nation, and welcome to the Tuesday Morning Quickies.
The big news, for me at least, is that Saturday we received word that former Wildcat Dwight “The Blur” Anderson has died too young at 59. Anderson was really only a member of Kentucky’s team for one season, as a freshman in 1978-79. Some of his more memorable teammates were Kyle Macy, Fred Cowan, Lavon Williams, Truman Claytor and Jay Shidler. It was a small team and, outside of Anderson and Claytor, a bit slow afoot.
But I remember Anderson’s quickness and athleticism well, and I always thought that he was a future star at UK.
