For the first time in a long time, the University of Kentucky Wildcats football team has defeated a ranked opponent. On Saturday night, under a cool fall sky, the Wildcats upended the No. 25 Missouri Tigers 21-13, erasing the memories of opportunities lost last week to the Florida Gators. These Wildcats proved that it’s not the same old Kentucky. This team fought and scratched their way to a big time win, moving then to 3-1 on the season with Eastern Kentucky coming to Commonwealth Stadium next weekend.

Wildcat quarterback Patrick Towles, who has heard the rumblings from the Big Blue Nation for is inconsistent play over the first three weeks of the season, played nearly flawless football.
