Kentucky Volleyball Sweeps Wofford in NCAA Tournament Opener

For the second time in three years, the Kentucky volleyball team opened NCAA Tournament play with a win over the Wofford Terriers.

The Wildcats were untested for most of the match (25-11, 25-19, 25-12). Each set started relatively even until Kentucky asserted its dominance. There was one exception in set No. 2 against the SoCon Champs.

The pesky Terriers refused to go away. Chloe Smith’s kill tied the game at 17. That’s when Kentucky locked in. Brooklyn DeLeye terminated two of the next three points to give the Cats some cushion, before she brought home the set point.
