Kentucky volleyball’s path to a second national title has been set.
On Sunday afternoon during the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Selection Special, the Wildcats (20-7; 15-3 SEC) earned a three-seed in the upcoming 2022 NCAA Tournament. Kentucky, which won its sixth straight SEC championship on Saturday in Lexington, will matchup against Loyola Chicago (25-8) in the first round of the Stanford Quarter this Thursday. After earning a top 16 overall seed, UK will host the first two rounds of the Lexington Regional at Memorial Coliseum.
If Kentucky beats Loyola Chicago, the ‘Cats could potentially take on six-seeded Western Kentucky in the second round.
