Kentucky-UCLA By the Numbers

UCLA’s KenPom ratings are not very good at all. They are ranked No. 55 overall, No. 52 on offense and No. 75 on defense. Kentucky is exponentially better in all three fazes; the Cats are No. 16 overall, No. 23 on offense and No. 15 on defense.

The Bruins aren’t much better in the RPI rankings, ranked No. 85 compared Kentucky at No. 19.

Only a Few Shooters

UCLA scores plenty of points, but very few come from behind the three-point line. Only three Bruins shoot over 35 percent — Thomas Welsh (45%), Jaylen Hands (45%) and Prince Ali (46%) — compared to five Wildcats who knock down 35 percent of their three-pointers.
