The first transfer portal window of the offseason closed on Wednesday as most college programs are getting ready for signing day on Feb. 1. However, unsigned players in the portal can still be recruited. Former top-100 recruit Kiyaunta Goodwin is one of those players.
The ballyhooed high school prospect had a very popular recruitment coming out of Charlestown (Ind.) High where Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, and Texas A&M were all heavily involved. In the end, Kentucky was able to beat out the Spartans.
However, Goodwin never made an impact in his first season in Lexington playing only on special teams.
